the little luxury called the box
we've been cut off from our daily dose of media ever since we've started on this trip. yeah, we've heard newsy bits from other americans and ozzies at the hostel but nothing beats watching CNN on tv again. was only then we realised the vast damage of the tsunami in asia. damn.quick update. am living in luxury at hotel kamp in helsinki now. we damn well deserved that after a harrowing (to someone who hardly backpacks) six nights in a backpackers hostel. the rooms were dingy and the communal bathrooms were gross. it was a real pain running across the hall in your pjs at 4 in the morning shivering to 2 degrees. i'm sorry mate, but the last thing you need is to walk into an depressing room after 13 hours on the plane and 7 consecutive hours on the russian trains with no fucking leg space?! but hey, i'm seriously considering backpacking to japan sometime this year.
am clearing my bloody pacnet mailbox now. why the fuck am i paying monthly bills to spend 30% of my precious net time clearing hot sex spams?
