taste of thailand

taste of thailand

thank you felicia and daniel for recommending an awesome (yummy and great for the pocket) place for seafood last night. it's called taste of thailand at sembawang shopping centre #04-05 [highly recommended for seafood buffs]

the location was real ulu (malay word for isolated) but that's probably cos the four of us (ernest, shumei, mak and me) aren't exactly the greatest navigators around. it took us an hour and a half to get there from CBD. can you imagine? and it's only singapore. good grief! we were like an hour late for dinner *lol*

but it was totally worth the wait cos those guys served the food in less than seven minutes (the guys went to the washroom and food was on the table when they returned). fucking unbelievable.

we had...
tom yam soup lar
thai fried fish lar- damn good stuff by the way
cereal prawn lar
kang kong belachan lar
fried squid lar
egg tofu with prawn on hotplate lar
thai noodles lar
fried pineapple rice lar
an unrecognisable brown (pork?) lard like dish lar
followed by kopi at causaurina place (the prata kopitiams at upper thomson)

an awesome seafood dinner despite two prawn allergics shumei and mak. *hope they turn out fine today*
