the day so far
she's got a new laptop for work. it's not exactly spanking new but at least a much younger version compared to the senior citizen desktop she was working on for the past year. plus its got no prior history (the desktop was handed over from six different people with all their rubbish still stored in her hard drive, nuts!) she's mighty happy now.the pilates session during lunch was awesome, her calves are feeling like jello now. the biggest regret she had was her carelessness in not reading up on the classes properly and ended up paying an arm and leg for the one-on-one reformer session instead of regular class style matworks. *stupid girl* ah well... perhaps it may be cheaper for her to join the gym after all. at least she could do some good with the pilates/ yoga classes on top of the cardiothingamagigs. anyone with a good gym to recommend? was thinking of california or fitness first. the former for its great range of classes and the later for its so far good word of mouth.
UPDATE: gonna visit fitness first at george st this sat. will see how it goes!

i would recommend cali. love working out there cos they really have loads of classes. and if you don't like doing mundane cardio on the treadmill or machines, there are very good cardio classes as well.
but if you're going over to melbourne, then fitness first. so you can transfer your membership from sg to aus
my vote: fitness first! have heard many good things about the centres.
and not to offend anyone, but each time i go to a california fitness gym, it reeks of stale sweat and body odours before i even get to the main entrance!!
no shit bout the BO? i bloody well hate that which was why i stayed away from gyms in the first place...hmmm. fitness first looks gd,great locations too, went to their site and they're having a promo (which bloody ends today!). gonna call them later...
thanx babes :) toast to a healthier bee (hon, u can stop nagging now haha)
Hey woman,
Was with Cali for a bit but never did go that much...haha all that money down the drain.
One thing though, their classes are always PACKED!! and you end up having to jostle for space which isn't too pleasant, especially for popular times like 7 plus 8 or pop classes like body combat etc...
Not sure bout fitness first but have heard pretty good things bout it...so even tho I was a member at Cali, I have to say maybe you might wanna consider Fitness First... :)
dawn
oh ya, and the only reason I joined Cal Fit was for their classes...
i went to the opening of that fitness first centre. it's got a gorgeous view!! the centre's a little small inside though...
think it's biggest one is at paragon, but no pool there. just thought i'll let you know...hee! :)
