the one with ms bee's great plan
absolute beauty and another in jamaica, pretty affordable too at less than US$100 a night. but should you have tons more to throw around and can do without every singaporean's must have (tv and mobile entertainment), do visit petit st vincent's and ladera resort in st lucia and chateau eza in france, stunning views aren't they?once again, ms bee really wished she was a trust fund kid. wouldn't it be lovely to discover some rundown yet potential cash cow in exotic europe or asean (even australia), remodel it into ie a boutique retreat and market it to fancy travelgoers. bohemian and ludicrous to some, it is achievable if you really have a think about it.
there is a huge market of cash rich asians (indonesian chinese, mainland, HK and local yuppies, rich kids) who are travel savvy and wouldn't blink an eye towards paying a premium for weekend retreats like these (see Magical Mandalay and The Peak). these people are not looking for your hiltons, hyatts or regents. it's a retreat, not a business trip and what they want is somewhere private and personal, somewhere to feed their soul. australia has great potential for stunning blue and green views (and wine) and best of all, located close enough to this group of rich asians to justify for quick getaways.
hmmm, ms bee's mind is ticking...ticking...ticking...richer buddies as "investors"(ala ivan janto haha), backpacking around ideal site, getting the business proposal going (on site recce, negotiations with land owner, contractors etc), working with an architect (the other half) on remodelling the place...
and perhaps she might have a dream realised.
