sweet gastronomy

dessert at projectshop cafe

the next time you visit the projectshop cafe, please leave some tummy space for their lovely banana mango crumble with vanilla icecream. it's a little hefty at S$10, but a must try for all dessert whores.

dessert whores are people like me who
- work their menu backwards (dessert first and if stomach has no more room, skip the main course)
- often stop in mid sentence, dismissing your conversation to peer at cake displays
- never turn down anything savoury (ok, maybe one. green tea cheesecake; the combined texture is super dry and leaves a layer of eekiness on your tongue, super gross)
- find emergency rooms in their superbly filled tummies to accomodate damn fine chocolate cakes
- doggy bag unfinished desserts at house parties

Every time I go to Project Shop Cafe, I eat their cakes, which are not actually very splendid. Next time, will save money and tummy space for this.

Oh, here's another symptom of a dessert whore: finds high tea buffets like the exquisite Goodwood Park English high tea absolutely irresistible and divine.

Speaking of which, I think it's time for my mom and I to make our annual pilgrimage there...

3rd floor, Paragon, beside the escalators at the front of the building. There's an "indoor" seating area, inside the Project Shop Blood Brothers outlet, and there's an "outdoor" area just at the top of the escalators, overlooking the ground-floor atrium.

With both Project Shop Cafe and Bakerzin in the vicinity, I really don't know how Coffee Club makes any money.
