of SPGs
for the first time in her life, she's been labelled as "an SPG".spg: local definition of a sarong party girl. a local (be it chinese, indian or malay woman) who chooses to be (seen ONLY with white men.
she's sure the new colleagues did not mean it in a vicious way. instead she found it rather amusing to think that some of her new colleagues actually went all out to suss "background information" and "confirmation on sources" for her newly conferred SPG status. hmm, last she checked, mak is still yellow and she, really for the life of her, can't remember dating any white men the past 27 years.
her amusement led to curiosity.
how did these silly people get their "confirmations from?" obviously from some unreliable prick or a case of mistaken identity. perhaps they considered her SPG cos she:
... has starbucks on her desk every morning (american! must be one of those potato girls!)
... speaks english all the time (she's not ahlian like me, must be some stupid educated abroad snobbish girl!)
... God knows what reason those "bo liao" people came up with for this conclusion
anyhoo, guess we'll have to make exceptions that some people are just weird. no point trying to comprehend their thoughts cos one has to be at THAT level to understand how they think.
