of lateral thinking and...others

emotions
human nature is frightened, insecure, greedy, aggressive, hungry for immediate reward and subject to group pressure. self improvement is not going to change human nature but we learn to ride wild horses by understanding their nature and gradually gaining control.

respect
respect is symbolised by the second finger on the hand. when you close your fingers together it is obvious that the second finger is longer than all the others. this is to remind you that respect for other people takes precedence over everything else.
