of something like mambo night

last evening was her first venture into dempsey. the original plan was to visit project shop's garden cafe unfortunately it was too late by the time tam called for a reservation, darn. headed over to wine connection instead which was just as quaint and lovely where three ladies ate a month's fill of cheese and crackers with a good bottle of argentinean red.

bimbo moment of the night
tam had difficulty manuveuring around the carpark cos of the trees and bushes
ms bee: they should just cut the trees down
tam and trish: ???? HALLO? the reason why we're here is cos of the lush surroundings!
ms bee: ...correct. what the fuck was i thinking?

anyhow, the evening ended with tam dropping them off at zouk's winebar for ms bee's fav art director's celebratory party. it was his last night at the agency yesterday and everyone took turns buying the rounds. an entire troop of creatives (plus erm, 5 suits) decided to experience beng-ness together (and perhaps give themselves a youth booster) by heading into zouk for THE MAMBO NIGHT. she was torn between fending off three pairs of spider-handed people, looking out for two soon-to-be wasted colleagues and gawking in fascination at the beng-ness of the entire surrounding. it's fucking hilarious dancing to the 80s and even funnier watching the next generation co-ordinating cheesy dance moves to once lovely song lyrics. in any case, they only enjoyed themselves proper later into the night when the three spiders mysteriously disappeared (probably drunk by then).

verdict? mambo ROCKS man, disclaimer: only with alcohol.

hahaha.
