crossroads

she took up an offer at a new agency just before she left for the HK trip. although she was kinda hesitant after the first interview, the second meeting made it all perfect again. she recognised traits of good leaders and knew it was a great road in towards potential personal growth and opportunities.

it's a darn hassle moving again, getting to know people and building the little good ole relationships with key people but her stay here is probably long overdue. she can deal with challenging situations as long as work gets rolled out and be done with at the end of the day. what she can't see eye to eye is a 360 change of brief at the final hour yet work is expected to be rolled out at the same delivery date cos the little people are supposedly paid to deliver according to their whims and fancies. best thing yet? someone on top suffering from IMS (important man syndrome) seem resigned and always take on each rebrief with gusto without bothering to explain why the new direction doesn't work cos it doesn't bring out certain key messages which paymasters wanted in the first place. and what happens when you try to squeeze more than five messages into an ad? you get an economic rice flavour= average results cos YOUR FUCKING MESSAGE gets diluted amongst four other things which you feel is important. what's frustating is your smart bosses recognise that and pointed out MANY a time not to be too literal in your ads cos the consumers you're reaching out to ARE NOT ILLITERATE people. how can you not see that?

that's why she's made up her mind to move on. she just cannot be passive sitting around watching small picture people make big decisions anymore. the high blood pressure is killing her.

here's a pre celebratory toast to herself, cheers!
