about going to bali
they're going to villa semana in ubud bali, 27-30 dec!
as usual, it's a post boxing day getaway and it'll be nice to chill out in nature and get that long awaited tan (pray it ain't gonna rain) and perhaps some inspiration on:
- the massive competitive research decks due in jan that're driving her nuts now
- easing frustrations when stubborn creatives present everything but what's required. is there something she's missing here?
- more random paintings
- dress designs so she can put the raw silk fabric to good use

here she is. sitting at her office desk alone, watching the heavy misty downpour outside and listening to nat king cole's the christmas song.what she needs is real snow so she can have a real excuse to wear those tan knee high boots again.

little quirks about moving homes
1. waking up in the east is surreal cos there's no sound of traffic and the air's different, really2. don't throw away ratty drool covered pillows and bolsters cos when you're in a new home, familiar comforts do count
3. be an active part of the packing process so you don't have to be SO damn lost when unpacking (referring to the father of cos)
4. throw out old stuff periodically and not only when you're shifting
5. finding long lost ear studs after the house has been cleared
6. rediscovering a "forgotten" wardrobe (stuff which she bought eons back on impulse and given a new lease of VIP shelf life now)
7. movers amazed by the hundreds of shoes between 3 people
8. some things never change. like how the mother insisted on using matches instead of an automatic gas stove?
