little quirks about moving homes

1. waking up in the east is surreal cos there's no sound of traffic and the air's different, really
2. don't throw away ratty drool covered pillows and bolsters cos when you're in a new home, familiar comforts do count
3. be an active part of the packing process so you don't have to be SO damn lost when unpacking (referring to the father of cos)
4. throw out old stuff periodically and not only when you're shifting
5. finding long lost ear studs after the house has been cleared
6. rediscovering a "forgotten" wardrobe (stuff which she bought eons back on impulse and given a new lease of VIP shelf life now)
7. movers amazed by the hundreds of shoes between 3 people
8. some things never change. like how the mother insisted on using matches instead of an automatic gas stove?

will post some pics up tomorrow *big smile*
